The fourth-generation G05 X5 uses BMW's CLAR platform, which is also found in the 7 and 5 Series. It has a five-link rear suspension and is available with four-wheel steering or adjustable air suspension that can be raised or lowered by 40mm. Compared to its predecessor, the G05 X5 is 36 mm (1 in) longer, 66 mm (3 in) wider and 19 mm (1 in) lower in height. All gasoline models are equipped with particle filters, while all diesel models are equipped with AdBlue injection, which reduces the emission of nitrogen oxides. Almost all regions have xDrive AWD, but a rear-wheel drive sDrive model is available in the US. The xDrive50i model is available outside of European markets, while European markets will receive M50i models. For the 2020 model year, the M50i became available in the North American market, replacing the xDrive50i model. Did you know?
